Volunteer Your Voice – Part 4 of 5 Easy Ways to Serve as a Family

March 22, 2021

Did you know that there is a great way to let your kids use your phone while also growing to be more like the character of Jesus?

No, it doesn’t have to do with the Bible App.

They can show love to someone by simply talking to them on the phone and showing them some care.

I know, I know, making phone calls on our phones is a crazy idea! Who actually talks on the phone anymore?

Well, since it isn’t as common anymore, it stands out as special when you do it. That’s why we’re suggesting it as a way to S.E.R.V.E. others as a family. This is the fourth idea this month, and you can catch up on parts one, two, and three here on the blog.

But for this week, we want to suggest that you and your family Volunteer Your Voice to show love to someone else.

Do you know someone who has been pretty secluded these past few months? A family member, neighbor, or coworker?

Give them a call on the phone and just share a few moments of conversation. This is an incredibly easy way to show some care and love.

Who knows, maybe this can become a weekly practice for you and your family. Maybe you can choose someone together who you want to call and bless with your voices and time.

All it takes is a few minutes (unless you call a talker). Give it a try this week and let us know how it went!
